Sing one held note and see whether your vibrato is free, too fast, too slow or wide, uneven, or a straight tone. Vibrato Check measures your vibrato on your phone, with no account and no server.
What counts as a "free" vibrato? A regular wave of about 4.5 to 7.5 times per second, up to about 150 cents wide for classical singing (130 for musical theatre and pop). Choose your voice type in Settings.
My voice doesn't show on the graph. The threshold may be above your voice, or the room noise may be loud. Tap Measure room in silence, or lower the threshold in the level card, and sing closer to the phone.
Is my voice uploaded anywhere? No. Sound is analyzed on your phone. A recording is kept only if you tap Save, and it stays on your phone.
Is this medical advice? No. Vibrato Check is a practice tool. It does not diagnose any voice condition; if singing hurts or your voice changes, see a voice professional.
Why not "jitter" and "shimmer"? Those measure tiny cycle-to-cycle changes in the voice, not vibrato. Vibrato Check focuses on the slow wave you hear as vibrato.
