Lullog ("the app") is made by Chungkyeong Lee. This policy explains what the app does with information. It applies to the app on iPhone and Android.
Your voice and your baby's log stay on your phone. We have no server, no accounts and no analytics, and we never see your entries. After an ad-free period of 14 days, the app shows one small banner ad from Google AdMob; that ad service is the only part of the app that uses the internet.
When you tap the mic (or use the widget, a shortcut or the Quick Settings tile), the app listens until you stop and turns what you say into text using the speech recognition built into your phone, set to work on the device only. Audio is not recorded, stored or sent anywhere. The first time, your phone's system may download its speech model from Apple or Google; that download is handled by the operating system, not by the app. If you log through Siri on iPhone, Siri handles what you say under Apple's privacy policy, and only the resulting entry reaches the app.
Feeds, sleep, diapers, notes, the baby's name and your settings are stored only on your phone. On iPhone, a small summary (such as the time of the last feed) is shared with the app's own widgets on the same phone. The app never uploads this data. Your phone's own backup (iCloud Backup on iPhone, Google backup on Android), if you have it turned on, may include the app's data as part of your device backup. Those backups are handled by Apple or Google under your account; we cannot access them.
When you choose to share a summary, the app creates a picture, a text and a small file, and hands them to the share sheet. You choose where they go (for example, a chat app). We do not receive them. Importing a summary file adds its entries to your log on that phone.
Feed reminders and the sleep timer are local notifications scheduled on your phone. No push server is involved.
For the first 14 days after you install the app, there are no ads and the ad service is not started. After that, the app shows one small banner at the bottom of the Today screen. The banner is provided by Google AdMob, which may collect and process information from your device to show and measure ads, such as device and advertising identifiers, IP address and approximate location derived from it, ad interactions, and diagnostic data. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice any time under Settings → About Lullog → Privacy choices. Ads shown without consent are non-personalized. On iPhone, the app does not ask to track you and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking. To remember when the ad-free period started, the app stores one date on your phone (in the Keychain on iPhone, so that reinstalling doesn't restart it; in app storage on Android). How Google uses this information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
We (the developer) collect nothing. We don't receive your voice, your log, your baby's name, or any identifier. The only information that leaves your phone is what Google AdMob collects for ads, as described above.
You can delete any entry in the app. Deleting the app removes the log and settings from your phone (and from future device backups). On iPhone, the ad-free start date in the Keychain may remain after deleting the app. For information Google holds for ads, see Google's policy above. If you have any request, email us and we will answer within 30 days.
The app is meant for parents and caregivers and is not directed to children. Information about your baby that you enter stays on your phone.
